Ask a Witch ..... politely

1 voicemail on my cell.

Banshee Witch friend of many years, nymph wound tight, " hey lady, how ya doin' ? I have an herb question, can't seem to find any info in my books, if you get this soon can you call right back, it's kinda important ?"

Me, "Hi, what's up ?"

BW, "Huh ?"

Me, " you said you had an important herb question, are you ok ? "

BW, " yeh, I've been looking everywhere for info on Lucky Hand Root, none of my books (anna riva, louisa tesch ) have anything in them ..."

I walk to my bookshelf, I know of at least two books off the top of my head that will have the answers to her question.

Me, "LUCKY HAND ROOT, orchid species, hoodoo, carry a lucky hand root and never be long without money, will be extremely lucky at gambling games where the hands must be nimble, many people carrying a single whole root on their person attribute marvelous and lucky properties to it .... "

BW interupting, " well, i got that it would bring whatever I'm currently wanting into my hands", her energy switches into - up to no good (you know the feeling), " that's what it told me at the store, so I bought it ... I'm just gonna have to trust my intuition .... okay, I've got to go, " she says hurriedly, nervously saying her goodbyes.

I never heard thank you, I felt lead in and then kicked and I haven't heard from her since.
Silly me.
I say this laughingly. I've known her for 10 years. I've watched her grow and she's watched me. We are sisters in the Goddess but I'm old enough to be her mother and sometimes we rub each other the wrong way.
